Market Chief Executive Officer

Laurel DuPont joined the Ochsner Rehabilitation Hospital team in 2021 as market chief executive officer of the New Orleans region, and she assumed the role of chief executive officer of Ochsner Rehabilitation Hospital in 2023. In conjunction with her team, she oversees management and operations to support the hospital's overall goals including delivering an exceptional patient and employee experience to provide excellent care in a compassionate environment. Additionally, Laurel has served as chief executive officer of Northshore Rehabilitation Hospital since its opening in 2019, creating a strong culture which drives excellence in both quality and outcomes.

Prior to her appointment, Laurel served as regional director for six years and before that as a market manager for five years at Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation, a Select Medical joint venture hospital in Dallas. She began her career as a physical therapist, taking on roles of increasing responsibility, including acting as a center manager at facilities in South Louisiana and the Dallas - Ft. Worth region for eight years.

Laurel has a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and a master’s and doctorate degree in physical therapy from St. Louis University.
