Kris Huber, BSN, R.N., CRRN, CBIS

Director of Quality Management

Kris Huber, BSN, R.N., CRRN, CBIS, is the director of quality management and safety officer at Ochsner Rehabilitation Hospital. He oversees performance improvement initiatives, infection control and the overall safety of patients, visitors and staff. In addition, Kris helps lead multiple performance improvement and program development committees at the hospital.

Kris has been with Ochsner Rehabilitation Hospital since its opening in 2018. A nurse for more than 23 years, Kris has worked in a variety of health care settings including, telemetry, rehabilitation and home health. He was the program director at East Jefferson General Hospital Inpatient Rehabilitation from 2015 to 2018 and the director of nursing at Ochsner Inpatient Rehabilitation from 2012 to 2015.

Kris received his bachelor’s degree in nursing from William Carey University. He is also a certified brain injury specialist and a certified rehabilitation nurse.

He is a member of Association of Rehabilitation Nurses and Association for Professionals in Infection Control.
